Cauvery Education Society (Regd.) was estab- lished at Goni- koppal in the year 1968 with the blessings of Mother Cauvery with an object of providing education to the rural mass. The society is at present running three educational institutions in Kodagu District of Karnataka. The society celebrated its silver jubilee in the year 1994 which was inaugurated by the then Deputy Speaker of Lok Sabha Honorable Sri S. Mallikarjuna with Dharmasthala Dharmadikari Dr. D. Veerendre Hedge as chief guest. The society has gained rich experience in managing the educational institutions over 30 years of time. Besides Cauvery Polytechnic,this society runs Cauvery College of Arts,Science and Commerce, B.B.M., B.sc.,(Horticulture), Diploma in Plantation Crops and management,Clothing and embroidery with a student strength of more than 1,200 at Gonikoppal
